Legal Agreement and Binding Nature

Important Legal Notice: These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you (the student) and CodeCraft Academy (the educational institution). By accessing our website, enrolling in courses, or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms.

If you do not agree with any provision of these terms, you must discontinue use of our services immediately. Continued use of our educational platform indicates your acceptance of all terms and conditions outlined below.

These terms establish the framework for our educational relationship and define the rights, responsibilities, and obligations of both CodeCraft Academy and our students. They are designed to ensure a fair, transparent, and productive learning environment for all participants in our frontend development programs.

Student Responsibilities and Legal Obligations

1. Compliance with Laws and Regulations

Sri Lankan Laws: Students must comply with all applicable laws of Sri Lanka, including but not limited to copyright laws, data protection regulations, and educational standards
International Compliance: For international students, compliance with both local and Sri Lankan laws where applicable
Regulatory Standards: Adherence to educational and professional development standards as established by relevant authorities
Legal Conduct: Engagement in lawful activities only while using our services and platforms

2. Conduct Requirements and Academic Integrity

Prohibited Behaviors

Harassment, discrimination, or offensive conduct
Plagiarism or academic dishonesty
Unauthorized sharing of course materials
Disruptive behavior in educational settings

Original work and proper attribution
Constructive participation in learning activities

3. Indemnification and Student Liability

By using our services, students agree to indemnify and hold harmless CodeCraft Academy, its instructors, staff, and partners from any claims, damages, or legal issues arising from:

Violation of these terms and conditions
Misuse of course materials or platforms
Infringement of intellectual property rights
Unlawful or harmful activities
Breach of privacy or confidentiality

4. Third-Party Interactions and Content Guidelines

Students may interact with third-party platforms and services as part of their learning experience. These interactions are subject to:

When creating or sharing content related to coursework, students must ensure:

Disclaimers, Warranties, and Limitation of Liability

Disclaimer of Warranties

Educational Services

CodeCraft Academy provides educational services on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While we strive for excellence, we make no warranties regarding specific learning outcomes, job placement guarantees, or career advancement results. Individual success depends on personal commitment, market conditions, and various external factors beyond our control.

Technical Platform

We do not warrant that our educational platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. Technical issues, internet connectivity problems, or third-party service disruptions may occasionally affect the learning experience. We work diligently to minimize such disruptions but cannot guarantee perfect availability.

Content Accuracy

Course content is regularly updated to reflect current industry standards. However, the rapidly evolving nature of technology means that some information may become outdated. Students are encouraged to supplement learning with current industry resources and practices.

Limitation of Liability

Maximum Liability Cap

In no event shall CodeCraft Academy's total liability exceed the amount paid by the student for the specific course or service giving rise to the claim. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory upon which the claim is based.

Excluded Damages

CodeCraft Academy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Force Majeure

We shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, internet outages, or global health emergencies that may affect educational delivery.

Legal Framework and Dispute Resolution

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

Applicable Law: These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka, without regard to conflict of law principles
Jurisdiction: Any legal disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka
Legal Venue: All legal proceedings must be filed in the appropriate courts located in Colombo, Sri Lanka
Language: All legal proceedings and documentation shall be conducted in English or Sinhala as appropriate under Sri Lankan law

Dispute Resolution Procedures

1 Direct Communication

Students are encouraged to first contact CodeCraft Academy directly to resolve any disputes or concerns. Most issues can be resolved through open communication and good faith efforts by both parties.

2 Mediation Process

If direct communication fails to resolve the dispute, both parties agree to participate in mediation conducted by a neutral third party before pursuing formal legal action.

3 Formal Legal Action

Only after exhausting mediation options may either party pursue formal legal proceedings in accordance with Sri Lankan law and within the appropriate legal jurisdiction.

Terms Modification and Severability

Modification Policy

CodeCraft Academy reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Material changes will be communicated to enrolled students via email or through the educational platform. Continued use of our services after notification constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

Severability Clause

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be replaced with a valid provision that most closely reflects our original intent.

Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy and any course-specific agreements, constitute the entire agreement between students and CodeCraft Academy. They supersede all prior negotiations, representations, or agreements relating to the subject matter herein.
